ESMAP organized a Knowledge Exchange Forum on the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) initiative on November 21, 2013 in The Hague. The Forum was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands. The event was attended by European bilateral development agencies, private sector and international technical experts, and representatives from ESMAP client countries and partner agencies.
The focus of the event was on how the international community could work together more effectively to achieve the objectives of SE4ALL. The day was split up into two tracks: on achieving universal access to energy, and on renewable energy resource mapping. The energy access track included sessions on global strategy, coordination at the field level, and on leveraging knowledge to achieve the universal access goal. The renewable energy mapping track included presentations on policy, mapping approaches and technology, and on financing.
