Africa: “Let there be light” – the Economist Magazine Writes About ESMAP’s Funded Initiative

The Economist Magazine recently wrote about the impact of the ESMAP funded Lighting Africa Initiative in making access to electricity a reality to over 1.5 billion people. The article stemmed from a conference organized by the World Bank - “Lighting Africa” in Nairobi. The conference aimed to stimulate the private-sector to come up with lighting solutions for the poor. Lighting Africa Initiative (link to a 6 minute video) is a multi-donor program implemented by The World Bank’s Africa Renewable Access Program. Learn more.
