Lighting Africa is accepting nominations for the Lighting Global Outstanding Product Awards 2012, which will recognize outstanding off-grid lighting products. Nominated products will be judged on quality, performance, design and affordability. The winners will be announced in October 2012 in Dakar, Senegal at the Lighting Africa Business Conference and Trade Fair. Supported by ESMAP and other partners, Lighting Africa aims to supply modern off-grid lighting to 2.5 million people by 2012 and to 250 million by 2030, contributing greatly to Africa’s social and economic development.
