Low Carbon Country Studies: Indonesia

ESMAP support for low carbon development in Indonesia took the form of scenario analyses, policy briefs, seminars and summary reports for the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and the National Climate Change Council (DNPI).

Taking place within a broader framework of engagement between the World Bank and the Government of Indonesia, ESMAP funding was used to provide insights on tax and spending policies, strategic investment approaches, financing sources and fiscal incentives for low carbon action.

The project also assisted the Government of Indonesia in establishing a climate change and fiscal policy website where several of the resulting outputs from this work are available.

This project is part of ESMAP’s support for low carbon development.
