Using Results-Based Approaches to Deliver Clean Energy

As part of ESMAP's new work program exploring results-based approaches to energy sector development, a presentation was delivered to energy experts and country representatives in Cape Town, South Africa on June 21, by ESMAP’s Senior Energy Specialist Oliver Knight.
The Scaling-up Renewable Energy Program (SREP) has broad provision for results-based financing approaches that could be used to help countries deliver renewable energy investment plans. At the same event, the Norwegian Government invited ESMAP to talk about results-based funding and possible links to its Energy+ initiative and SREP.
